I hope you don’t want a scary dinosaur. This large, plush triceratops stuffed animal is more likely to come your child’s furry friend, especially the baby “pillow” it comes with.
Note: Alternatively, you can get a triceratops bean bag cover that works as a storage bag for stuffed animals. (You can also fill it with pillows, blankets or towels.) Kids can also use it as a cushion or chair when filled with stuffed toys.
Yes, this dinosaur actually comes with a mini cuddly triceratops stuffed toy. It’s like getting 2 stuffed animals in one!
This triceratops pillow makes a perfect toy for toddlers and young children, since they can grow with it. Small kids can use it as a giant stuffed animal, and then use it as a bean bag chair or cushion as they grow older.
Plus, this stuffed triceratops dinosaur only costs about $35. Quite possibly cheaper, furrier and more fun than one sewn from a DIY pattern.

By the way, if you want an orange triceratops, check out the Pterodactyl. (He’s bright orange and looks very similar!)
Washing Your Triceratops Stuffed Animal:
You can easily wash the cover of your dinosaur bean bag. In fact, the most challenging part of the task may be getting the beans out. (And that’s actually quite easy too!)
You see, the beans are loose inside the stuffed animal. I found a brilliant solution to this though. Simply unzip the cover and pour the beans out of the dinosaur into a large trash bag. When you are ready to refill, just pour the beans back in.
Note: Because the bean bags contain loose fill, the zipper comes with a locking feature. Simply use a paperclip to unlock it when you are ready to open the bag. (The label on the bag shows you how.)
What About the Bean Bag Beans?
Big Joe fills their dinosaurs (including stegosaurus bean bags and pterodactyl bean bag chairs) with UltimaX beans, which last 20% Longer than traditional beans. Therefore, you may never need to refill your bean bag chair.
That said, all beans do compact over time. If you lose some pieces when you wash your cover or you simply want to “fluff up” your dino, you can get more UltimaX Beans here.
The good news is that the durable cover is designed to last many years, so instead of having to buy new bean bags, you may only need to fluff up with a few beans every once in a while.
More good news! The foam beans contain 80% materials and you can recycle them too.
A Bigger Dinosaur Bean Bag Chair?
By the way, if you want a larger bean bag chair for older kids, you can get one at Walmart. (Maybe at Sam’s Club too). It measures approximately 36″ in diameter with a height of 18″, but it is not a dinosaur shaped bean bag chair.
The cotton fabric features pictures of dinosaurs, rather than a plush, furry stuffed animal shape. For example, tyrannosaurus rex, spinosaurus, velociraptor, brachiosaurus, and triceratops. It contains polystyrene beans.
Another option, if you want a giant stuffed triceratops is the Stuffums storage bean bag chair. You just get the case, which you can then fill with up to 50 of your own stuffed animals.
This multi-functional sac gives you an extra piece of furniture, while helping kids pick up their rooms. =) When filled, this blue and purple spotted “three-horned face” triceratops measures about 3 feet x 3 feet.
